Wedding and Tropfest

Here is an image you don't see everyday, consenting adults playing boardgames on a saturday night...jerks.

Well, it was my sisters wedding on the weekend. I was given several jobs. Ferry Nan around...sorted. Video stuff that the professional video guy doesn't...sorted. Job done. Obviously, my reputation as a genius film maker is growing. That the footage was getting more shakey, and my speech more slurred toward the end of the evening, doesn't come into it, ok?
This event also meant that i didn't ride on the weekend, although there is a rumour that people went riding without me???!! They even got some footage on Micks still camera. Haven't seen it yet, but i'm pretty sure it'll end up on the cutting room floor.

We also went to Tropfest in the Domain in Sydney last night. As is par for the course, is was pissing down. We pulled stumps after waiting 2 1/2 hours, and the rain was really setting in. So much so, as we learnt later, that they postponed the event (1st time everrr). There was an electrical storm even.

We left Mick and Shoppo and others the ride it out. Muhahahahah, sucked in. etc

New Look!

Yes, you've come to the right place.

Basically i was sick of looking at the old layout and decided to change it...so there.

As you were...

Freestyler

In conjunction with several world class riders, i have produced what may be THE best mountain bike video of all time. A big call, but quite fair i think. Its 8Meg but worth the wait.

Thanks to Mick, Tony, King, Andy and especially Age who went over the handle bars for a good cause (our enjoyment).

Casanova 'n that

We saw the movie 'Casanova' the other night. A completely predictable yawn-fest...thats right it was a festival of yawn. A celebration of snore even.

Has anyone else noticed that Heath Ledger has an enormous head? You only really notice when its beside a normal sized head (eg Sienna Miller). His head is as big as a dinner plate, i tell you. I was going to say that his eyes are too close together also, but i actually think that they're normal, its just that his head is lunar sized.

Thats all i wanted to say other than the fact that i hate the whole 'doctor-with-a-questionable-bed-side-manner-but-really-has-a-heart-of-gold' tv shows. Currently there is 'House', previously there was 'Becker' and 'M*A*S*H'....hahaha, Hawkeye Peirce, when will they ever learn.

The next producer who comes up with the great 'new' idea of using a rough exterior doctor with heart as big as pharlap, will be sent a ninja assassin by registered mail (i need to know if he gets there).

Allegedly

I went to buy some runners at Westfield Bondi Junction the other day, and guess who i saw? If you guessed Kate Ritchie aka 'Sally' from 'Home and Away' (i looked it up), then you'd be right. This area is just a deadset horn of plenty when it comes to celebs.

I must say she looks allegedly different than she allegedly did in the infamous 'Sally' video which did the rounds a few years ago...allegedly. Damn laywers always on my case. Allegedly.

These are the shoes i bought at the alleged shops. Sweet.

Today and previous to today

Went for a haircut. I have less hair now. The end.

Also, i'm currently trying to workout how to use Adobe Premiere, which is video editing software. I got some more good footage on our ride at St Ives on Sunday, and i will eventually put it all together to show off our riding skills. I forgot that the Cascades Trail (at St Ives) has a couple of hell climbs. The only reason to go on this ride is that the aforementioned climbs are a lot better the other way round.

I went for a run around Centennial Park this morning. I'm slightly better than before. Before i cried when i coughed up a lung. Now i just put that lung right back in and go about my business (without crying).

Going to the beach now.

Coogee run club

Went for a run on the Coogee beach last night with Tony and Cec. We did 6 laps, which is showing in the fact i can't move my left shoulder today. Thats combined with my right elbow which completely seized yesterday. Stupid effing old body, can't handle the workout of a 25 year old anymore. King, the soft sand specialist(SSS), has shown some interest in attending. Carnage will ensue if i attempt to keep pace with him.

Got a free fitness assessment at the gym yesterday. I am fair to midling in all department, including height. The assessor said i should have another test in 6 weeks to see if i had improved. I said, i hope i'm taller. She stared blankly for a second and then gave me a bitch slap upside the head. Whatever.

Tham gave me a massage last night to alleviate some pain. It seems to have worked, as i can actually stand up.

Gym

I went to the gym today, first time in 7 months. Ants with little ant weights were lifting more than me. I have to get fitter as i have signed up for a 5 hour 50km offroad race. I'm aiming quite low. I want to finish the race without throwing up a lung, or fracturing my pea (heart). We'll see.

Got some good footage of us riding at Oxford Falls on Sunday. No one stacked on camera, but i'm hoping next week we could have a winner. I have given up on the helmet cam as the resulting video looks ordinary.
