Pamukalle etc

Day 6 Monday Pamukalle Turkey
Still in Turkey. Been pretty hot but not too bad around 34 every day. It hasnt rained the whole time weve been here but the Turks seem to have a lot of water nothing like Aus. Anyway we went up the calcium terraces at Pamukalle. Highly recommend it. Photos will come later.

Day 7 Tuesday Koygeiz

Well today we went for a massive bike ride to find a mythical waterfall. Using a map drawn by a dyslexic chimpanzee we proceded to ride 1 million miles in 50 degree heat. Much fun was had by all. Btw we didnt find it but the chimpanzee has decided to drive us there now in his prehistoric rock mobile. I pushed him over for his insolence...

If you want to leave comments about this (mum) then click the comments link below this post. Also my normal hotmail acct is working and will be checked.

Istanbul, Turkey

Day 1-2

Plane landed and immediately Tham went from completely white to completely brown. Instant tan.

We are staying in the old part of the city, right near the blue mosque, if you know where that is. Every second building here is a mosque, carpet shop, or kabab shop. Apparently people are employed to stand out the front of these shops and do nothing all day...or maybe they don't get paid, they just do it for fun (more likely).

We have eaten everything that turkey has to offer in the first 2 days. These include kababs (derr), mezzie, fish sandwiches, pancakes, apple tea, turkish delight (again, derr) etc etc.

Tham wants me to say we visited the Topkaki palace, but i can't be bothered. Tomorrow, we leave Istanbul on the Fez tour, which is a hop-on hop-off bus that goes around turkey, first stop Gallipoli.

the end

Oh, apparently its alright for 2 men to walk around arm in arm romantic-styley...

Last post...for now

This will be the last entry before the computer is dismantled...in about 10 minutes.

Tomorrow, the man in the van will come to collect all our stuff, which we have got down to 8 boxes, and 2 bike boxes, and throw it into the aforementioned van with his eyes closed. Then another man (probably related to the first man), will throw everything from the van into a skip. Then this skip is thrown into a container ship, which is thrown (eyes closed) into the ocean.

the end

p.s Next entry will be from Istanbul, Turkey

Comments

Today is my day off...i mean, today is the day i train clients to reach their goals in a safe and effective manner.

I have read the comments, run them up the flag pole, and are saluting them as we speak. Good job to the person who found the L33t translator, possibly at here:

Routes agreed (tee hee)

After weeks of discussion, we have finally decided on the basic route of the journey. Start in Turkey....umm, then go somewhere else...probably Greece. Done.

In other news, we will be completing the sale of the flat on Monday the 20th, with D&D (Dennis and Dimitri...not Dungeons and Dragons). They own a greek restaraunt in Camden, which has food 'n stuff, and ouzo which is the most important thing.

In yet other news, Tham booked the tickets to Istanbul today with Air Crashalot, hopefully arriving on tuesday 21st june.

Packing begins in ernest, and in Archway, this week.
