Japan Update 1

Ok, so there's been some complaints to the complaint department about me not updating the updates department. You know what? I hate complaints, updates...um, and i hate departments for that matter. But i digress.
I have decided to update (note to self: thesaurus 'update') this in several stages, as i can be bothered.

Ok, the last post left off with us in Niseko (Hirafu more specifically). This is the view from our apartment of Mt Yotei. Apparently it takes 6 hours to walk to the top for a 10 minute ride/ski...um yeah whatever

This is just one of many relatively empty lifts travelling over metres of powder. Funny Story: I'm in a gondola with some japanese people when i heard this conversation:

Japanese geezer: blah blah (in japanese can't understand)
Japanese anime girl: blah blah (in japanese also...der)
JP: YOU ARE DOG
JAG: WE ARE DOG
....conversation continues....

ok, maybe you had to be there

Dinner japanese stylie : 'painful cartilage of a chicken'....bring it on

END OF UPDATE 1: bite me

Story continued...

This is 'Drunky' the Sapporo bear...so drunk is Drunky that when i pushed him over, he couldn't get up again....like a big old bear shaped turtle...

Anyway we're having the afternoon off...there's just waaaay too much powder.

Update finally!

Ok so i've been slack, but you know what, get over it, i've been busy...

These are the pics so far:

Anyway, this whole thing started on Thursday when i caught that excellent airline that is Jetstar.
Two hours on the tarmac, 9 1/2 hours in the air, 2 hours trying to navigate the stupid arse subway system of Sapporo and i was finally able to meet up with Tham.

Must sleep now, so will continue the story tomorrow.

Btw, we had the best day snowboarding and skiiing EVER today. Powder. Minus 12 degrees. Nuff said.

We're back: now with extra ninja flavour

Thats right we're back.

There's no use writing an adventure blog without actually going on an adventure. And now we are.

For those of you who dont know, we're going to Japan. 'We' means me, Tham, Choc and Cathy, for 2 weeks of crazy happy fun time.

I was going to rename the blog 'Lost in Translation', but thats waaaay too obvious, and also, several hundred other bloggers, almost entirely expats living in Japan, have named their blogs this. Nice work brainiacs. Clevvvvverrrrr.

I've decided to track them all down once we're in Japan and 'ninja' them to death.

Thats all for now, since we dont even leave for Japland for 2 weeks.

Things

Its been so long since the last entry that the surf is again enormous. Probably bigger than last time, around 5 metres near shore.

Anyway, we were riding on the weekend, and had a big stack. Whats new, i hear you say. Well, this time i have injured my knee. I woke this morning with my knee the size of a dinner plate.

I am now working for Fitness First as a PT. The end.
